When you open a donor advised fund at the Jewish Foundation of Memphis, you benefit from the expertise of trained Foundation staff. Our staff will work with you and your family in the management and oversight of all areas of grantmaking and investment. We offer the following:
Opportunities to Give
Each quarter, the Foundation staff puts together a list of giving opportunities available at our partner agencies. Giving opportunities are mailed to our fund holders every quarter and can accessed through our website.
Grants Administration
We take care of the paperwork and administrative tasks associated with giving: processing grants, sending grant checks and award letters, and preparing quarterly statements about fund activity. Grant recommendations may be made as often as you like and are processed on the 15th and 25th of each month.
Grant Making Consultation
Our knowledgeable staff is available to consult with you and provide the help you need: creating a giving plan, finding information on a specific organization or suggesting organizations that match your charitable interests.
Donor Education
We host educational events on topics of interest to our donors such as a recent program focusing on Intergenerational philanthropy.
